I am Ana

Drama. When a vindictive British playwright coerces his naive sister and estranged parents to attend the opening night of his play, past secrets unfurl and the scars of abuse resurface on all family members.

Our award-winning short film starring Richard West (THE SHAMEN, Mr.C, THE END), is a dark and intimate portrayal about forgiveness within the context of a British family trying to cope with a dark secret.

Both the short and the feature screenplay chose not to sensationalize the actual molestation and instead explore how shame and secrecy allow the cycle of abuse to repeat from generation to generation and across institutions often entrusted to protect our children.

Produced for just under 15K, the proof of concept was filmed on an Alexa Classic with Cannon Cine Lenses.

Currently, the script is being packaged by Casting Director Jeremy Zimmerman (HELLBOY II, ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES, MOON).
